“So many people don't have a person in their life that can tell them the truth with compassion. Our natural defenses prevent us from seeing our truth a lot of the time.”
–AMANDA EILOLA

Amanda's therapeutic approach is anchored in empathy, honesty, and focusing on discovering what is at the root of complex issues. Wounds received during childhood can result in issues such as codependency, relationship issues, addiction issues, and many forms of compulsive behaviors.

Our natural defenses can prevent us from seeing our truth. Amanda's specialized training in different therapeutic modalities allows her to create tailored programs that support the individual needs and circumstances of clients. She maintains focus on the person and not the pathology.

EXPERIENTIAL THERAPY

"Show me, don't tell me."

Action physically stimulates emotional connection and catharsis. Emotion lives in the body, in every cell. When we move the body, emotion can be released, helping us to see, understand, and process the events of our lives.

Experiential therapy is vastly different from talk therapy. Instead of using only words to discover, express, and heal issues, we will engage in physical activities and experiences. This can look like many things; drawing, sculpting, role-playing, an adventure course, or equine therapy. Psychodrama utilizes roleplay and sociometry so that people can have a corrective emotional experience.

“Emotion lives in the body – in every cell of the body. When we move the body, emotion is released.”
